———————–where it begins———————-

So, this is a story all about how…. Well, I can’t say my life has ever been flipped upside down, but I’ve experienced my fair share of struggles and setbacks. But with that, I have had more achievements and moments to be thankful for.

I grew up in what used to be a small town. Now, not so much; but everyone still seems to know everyone, cheers style. I’ve had my fair share of careers and ventures to say the least. I graduated high school and went to beauty school. Dabbled around in that until it wasn’t fun anymore. Tried my hand as an EMT, completed prerequisites for nursing school, owned a clothing boutique, and a few other things my mom-brain can’t think of at the moment. I can wholeheartedly say that of all endeavors I have explored, my heart and happiness will always lie with coffee. I’ve been a barista off and on (most currently off for over a year) since I was 17. It’s the one thing that has always given me joy and not make me want to call in sick every day, though that’s not to say I never have.

I married my husband, coming up on five years now, in the Bahamas on a beautiful beach. Fairytale status I kid you not. We haven’t killed each other yet, so that’s a good sign our marriage is pretty good. We also have two amazing kids- a boy and girl (again, fairytale). I mean, most of the time I’m willing to sell my son off to the highest bidder, but at the end of every day, I convince myself to keep him. My daughter is in the perfect angel stage, so you know that means I’m in for a world of hell come the teenage years.

So here I am, 30, married, and two kids; struggling to get my high-school, I thought I was fat but who was I kidding, body back and live a healthier life so I can live long enough to meet my great-grandchildren. And oh yeah, I’m well versed in the art of profanity.
